If any of our projects could be described as a fairytale, this would certainly be one of them.

This extraordinary custom home was a new build that we began designing while the foundation was still being poured. At over 10,000 square feet, the scale alone is remarkable, especially for Southern California. From the earliest phases of construction through the final finishing details, this full-service interior design project was an incredible opportunity to dream big and thoughtfully layer design into every corner of the home.

Throughout the residence, we incorporated countless custom features that helped shape the character of the interiors. Some of our favorite moments include the double kitchen islands designed for entertaining, the latticed wood beams in the home office, and the custom bar overlooking both the mountains and the Pacific Ocean. Every space was designed to feel elevated yet welcoming, grand yet deeply livable.

Custom detailing became the foundation of the home’s identity. Cabinetry, alcoves, wood paneling, stair railings, tile layouts, and architectural elements were all carefully tailored specifically for this project. The clients were an absolute joy to collaborate with and approached every design decision with thoughtfulness and excitement. No detail was overlooked, which made the entire design and building process incredibly rewarding for everyone involved.

The architecture embraces a modern Mediterranean style, blending timeless European influences with clean contemporary lines in a way that feels sophisticated, warm, and approachable. Watching the home come to life from its substantial foundation to the finished clay tile roof was an unforgettable experience.

One of the most unique aspects of the home is the lower level, which technically functions as a basement though it feels anything but below ground. Open to the backyard, pool, and sweeping ocean and mountain views, this level includes a full bar, wine cellar, gym, massage room, and multiple lounge spaces designed for entertaining and relaxation.

This Southern California home truly is an entertainer’s dream. Expansive gathering spaces flow effortlessly throughout the property, while the upper floors offer private retreats for family and guests alike. Each bedroom includes its own ensuite bathroom and walk-in closet, and behind every door is another thoughtfully designed moment layered with texture, pattern, and personality.

Despite the scale of the home and the abundance of custom features, the interiors never feel overwhelming. A carefully balanced mix of materials and patterns from herringbone details to geometric elements creates spaces that feel refined, timeless, and cohesive. Every design decision was intentional, allowing the home to feel luxurious while still remaining deeply comfortable and livable.

The completed residence is nothing short of stunning. Seeing every layer of the design come together so seamlessly under one roof has been one of the greatest joys of this project and a beautiful reminder of what is possible through thoughtful collaboration, architecture, and deeply personalized interior design.
