A Thoughtful Warm Modern Kitchen

This kitchen remodel is a wonderful example of what can happen when a client arrives with a clear vision and trusts us to help bring it fully to life. The inspiration began with a single saved image featuring green cabinetry, natural woods, layered stone, and woven textures throughout the lighting and furnishings. From the beginning, the overall feeling was warm, grounded, and inviting.

While the inspiration was clear, the existing kitchen layout was not supporting the way the client truly wanted to live. The space originally felt overly large and too open, lacking the comfort and intimacy the client hoped to create. Our role became taking that original vision and thoughtfully reshaping the home into something highly functional, personal, and completely custom.

As part of the kitchen renovation, we reimagined the floor plan by keeping the appliances within the main kitchen while introducing a new wall with a pocket door that created a spacious walk-in pantry. This addition completely transformed the flow and functionality of the home. Within the pantry, we also designed a floating butcher block desk where the client, who occasionally works from home, could comfortably spend time throughout the day.

The pantry office quickly became one of our favorite moments in the project. Natural light pours through the large window, while textured wallpaper and a charming sconce add warmth and personality to the space. Hidden within the custom cabinetry are practical office features including a roll-out printer station and dedicated file storage, allowing the room to feel beautiful while functioning effortlessly behind the scenes.

Back in the main kitchen, natural light highlights the layered material palette throughout the space. Soapstone countertops, dark wood accents, wallpaper details, and a tucked-away coffee bar all contribute to the cozy, collected atmosphere the client envisioned from the very beginning. Wood detailing along the back side of the peninsula further adds warmth and texture while helping the kitchen feel intentionally designed from every angle.

Projects like this are always especially rewarding because they begin with inspiration and evolve into something deeply tailored to the people living there. It was incredibly fun to take a single image and transform it into a home filled with thoughtful layout decisions, custom details, and personality throughout.
