A Custom Home Designed for Everyday Living

This Long Beach full home remodel is especially near and dear to our hearts. Over the course of the design process, our clients placed an incredible amount of trust in us, allowing us to thoughtfully shape nearly every aspect of the home. Working closely alongside the architect and contractor from the very beginning, we helped bring the vision to life from the ground up through a highly collaborative and deeply personal design process.

When we first walked through the house, it felt smaller and more confined than it truly needed to be. One of the most transformative moments of the renovation came from extending the back of the home and vaulting the ceilings throughout the main living spaces. The added height created an immediate sense of openness, allowing the interiors to feel brighter, calmer, and far more expansive while strengthening the connection between each living area.

Throughout the home remodel, we layered warm wood tones, custom paneling, and tailored millwork to create an atmosphere that feels rich, inviting, and thoughtfully lived in. Every cabinet throughout the home was custom designed to maximize storage while supporting the clients’ everyday routines and lifestyle.

Materiality played a major role in shaping the overall character of the interiors. Handmade tiles were layered alongside porcelain, natural stone, and patterned surfaces to create depth, texture, and visual variation throughout the home. We also introduced moments of color through cabinetry and wall treatments, adding personality and individuality in a way that still feels timeless and cohesive.

Because our clients are deeply connected to the ocean, we wanted to incorporate meaningful elements that reflected that part of their lives. A custom aquarium became an important design feature within the home, adding both movement and personal significance to the space. We also incorporated custom top-down bottom-up Roman shades throughout the house using indoor-outdoor fabric specifically selected to withstand years of sun exposure. The shades allow natural light to filter in from above while still maintaining privacy, blending beauty with thoughtful functionality.

Projects like this are a meaningful reminder of how powerful collaboration can be. This Long Beach remodel ultimately became more than just a renovation — it became a layered, highly personal home that feels entirely reflective of the people who live there.
